Not exactly all the best trailers, but some classics (Indiana Jones, Alien, Back to th Future) and some very good ones (The Comedian, Cloverfield, The Shining)

    http://www.trailerspy.com/the-top-10-te … -all-time/

Also, have a look at the rejected Spider-Man trailer.

What other trailers are worth to see?

I thought the Hitchhiker's Guide had a great one, some years ago.
Laughed my ass off with that one.

I think Independence Day had one of the best and more original campaings of the last 50 years.

    Taglines and trailers.

I loved the teaser for Chicken Run that showed before Mission: Impossible II. It said Chicken: Impossible II, and was completely in the M:I style biggrin Haven't seen it since, though.

  1. The Chronicles of Riddick: damn fine trailer, not so stunning film
Independence Day: the one with the Stargate music at the end, superb
The Abyss: nicely edited and with a striking synth score, wonderful
Titanic: the 4 minute one, the whole movie summarized in epic mini-film
The Lord of the Rings: the supertrailer: 6 minutes of Middle-earth magic
The Matrix Reloaded: all cool highlights and pulse-pounding soundtrack
Pearl Harbor: the teaser with the Thin Red Line music, fantastic

    That's it for now smile

Pearl Harbor with JOURNEY TO THE LINE ontop and GOLIATH from Jablonsky is what comes in mind as well for this topic. Awesome stuff.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

  2. I remember really liking the A.I. trailer - though it's not an action adventure, I thought it was very intriguing.

While it's not the best edited trailer ever it was still one that absolutely floored me.

    JURASSIC PARK
    http://www.movie-list.com/j/jurassic-park.html

Because we really had no idea that computer graphics had advanced so much since The Abyss and T2 that we as an audience had no idea how the hell they got those gigantic creatures to come to life so realistically. And even months after I saw the film I still had no idea how they did it. I kind of wish now that I didn't...

  3. man the last couple of years some excellent trailers were made, but favorites of mine are surely these:

    - The Chronicles of Riddick
    - Pearl Harbor
    - X Men 3: The Last Stand
    - Spiderman 2
    - Casino Royale
    - Transformers
arghh so many but these come to mind now considering they have the perfect build up and wonderful musical theme choices smile
    waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh
  4. wow, thread from the past, and it's not even in the community stats wink

Reason why I resurrected this one is, because I've finally seen a couple of trailers that got me excited like a schoolchild

    - Chronicle: In one word WOW, gonna be as hyped as Cloverfield (or so I hope), how do they make these movies so bloody convincing? Looks amazing

    - Snow White & The Huntsman: finally a trailer that makes an impact on me, looks excellent and I love the music in this one

    - Red Tails: I hope this one doesn't fail like Flyboys did (even though I quite liked that one), but this surely looks stunning shocked

finally some good trailers out there smile

  5. Doing a Tom, Thomas? biggrin

Best trailers? You forgot Star Trek VI and The Last of the Mohicans.

It's the music you see... Back then great music accompanied these great mini-movies. cool

Looks great, and kinda stupid. A real popcorn experience.

It's about Snow White, a children's story, and they still managed to make it look cool. That's indeed quite a feat.

All the planes fly ridiculously close together though. Talk about CGI overkill. I'd prefer a tad more realism. It annoys me when they try to juice up supposedly historical movies with effects like that, as if the original stories weren't exciting enough; it's freaking WW2 after all!

100% agree! And dog-fights against ME 262 jet aircraft? It never happened! rolleyes

You want aerial dog-fights? THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN ( 1969 ) far surpases the junk I just saw in that trailer.
