30 YEARS OF BACK TO THE FUTURE
    May 23-24, 2015
    Castell’Alfero (AT) – Italy

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the time-travel movie
with special guest participation of original score composer Alan Silvestri
and a series of events in the Asti countryside.

A double line on fire and 88 mph . A DeLorean modified for time travel and a skateboard capable of eventful feats. An eccentric scientist galvanized by a stroke of genius and a boy of the 80's stuck in his parents’ adolescence. Sounds familiar? It seems like the past coming back, but it’s just a new, unmissable Back to the Future.

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the time-travel saga’s first chapter created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, Castell'Alfero, the Italian country of origin of renowned composer Alan Silvestri, who composed the entire trilogy original scores and a three times Grammy Award winner, recipient of two Emmy Award and two Oscar nominations - among many other awards earned in a forty-year career which also includes the original scores for movies such as Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cast Away, Night at the Museum and The Avengers - will host an exclusive two-days dedicated to the film starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.

In the presence of Silvestri himself, who will speak to the public in a series of meetings, the Comune and the Palio Committee of the country in the Asti area, in collaboration with the webzine ColonneSonore.net, the site Ritornoalfuturo.it, the Delorean Club Italy, the Back to the Future Museum, Manfont publisher and Compagnia del Fumetto, will pay homage to the important occasion articulating the weekend of 23 and 24 May in a series of dedicated events: exhibitions, screenings, gatherings, cosplayers, shows, a concert and a cycle of conferences that will investigate the most diverse and interesting aspects related to Back to the Future universe, from collectibles to more specific filmic and musical aspects.

Full program and further details will soon be released, keep in touch with the Facebook page of the event (https://www.facebook.com/pages/30-anni- … 2799647506 ), with the site of Castell'Alfero (www.castellalfero.net) and with the webzine ColonneSonore.net (www.colonnesonore.net ).

As a wine producer, he obviously had to go to a film music festival in the Italian countryside! smile

Would have been cool to attend, but of course it's impossible. It's next week!
    I am extremely serious.

But if you had had a lot of money and attended the Cannes festival (which begins this week), you could have rented a car and done a road trip at the end of the festival. It's about 4 hours drive from Cannes. It's really in the middle of NOWHERE!
    I am extremely serious.

It's where Silvestri was born, according to the text (I think!).
