I heard a good rumour about Pearl Harbour; very colourful it was. Next time I see you at the theatre, I'll personalise the aluminium.

For me, Bill Condon gets good work out of Burwell. I pray Burwell takes a leaf out of Desplat and Shore's book and try for a more romantic string theme, in addition to Bella's Lullaby. And I think he'll tone down the electric guitars and synths as well.

Atlantic Records will be releasing a score album for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -Part 1. The music is composed by Carter Burwell who previously scored the first installment in the series directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The soundtrack will be released on December 13, 2011 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon.

Haven't heard it yet but the 1st score was a disappointment, especially compared to the far superior Desplat sequel.
  1. My review of BREAKING DAWN PART I, if anyone is interested:

While the review certainly makes it interesting enough I've never gotten into this series at all.

  2. The whole thing was loaded to YouTube, so I listened to a couple. I liked it. If one day I ever got it, it would probably be the first CD I would have to puyt a paper bag over the inserts for, or light on fire and burn to ashes though.
The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else.

Thanks, Jon. Without this review, I never would have given the score the time of day.
