All originally listed composers are now up to date. Every change at their Top 3 is marked red (yesterday´s still included).

I also managed to add each and everyone of the missing new composers (even those where I´m sure you were kidding me). All new composers´ names are marked red (yesterday´s included).

I even managed to include vote lists. Every voter in this TOP THREE scores topic has been taken into account, as well as the old voters from the specific composer topics of Arnold, Barry, Doyle, Goldsmith, Horner, Howard, Jones, Williams, and Zimmer.

    * behind a name means that your last counting vote was in the specific composer topics. That should make it easier for you to find your old vote if you want to change them.

From now on, whenever you want to CHANGE your vote (a new score changes everything, or you have other reason to change your vote), please look up your old vote, list it again and then your new vote, so that I can see what´s different and take that into account.

Nautilus, I don´t have time to look up your old votes for you; please do me the favour and look them up for yourself, please.

You can now officially start to vote again, BUT please keep in mind that the voter lists for Arnold, Barry, Doyle, Goldsmith, Horner, Howard, Jones, Williams, and Zimmer list not only the voters from here, but from the composer´s specific topics as well. If you want to vote again, please check the voter list for that composer to find out were to look for your old vote.

EDITED AFTER I FINISHED THE VOTER LISTS

    Thank you guys.

So, are we allowed to vote for anyone?

Here are my votes for Leonard Bernstein:

    1. On the Waterfront

It will be interesting to see what everyone else picks.

Come on, guys, how hard is it?

Again: Before you vote, please look at the main list and check whether you have already voted for a composer before or not. If you did, please look for your original vote and quote it together with the new vote so that I can adjust the main list according to the changes in your vote.

I will no longer take into account votes from people who have voted before on the same composer and don´t quote their earlier vote. It is just too time consuming for me to seek out your earlier votes to adjust the lists. I just won´t do that. So you either follow the rules which help to get this thing done, or you don´t, which means your vote will not be counted.

@Justin: As the voter credit in the main list clearly states, you already voted on Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, James Newton Howard and John Williams. So please look up your old votes and quote them, or your new votes can not be registered.

I´ll add your votes on Elfman, Silvestri, and Poledouris, though, as soon as I do the next update.

    All voters´lists are complete now.

    * behind your name means that your last counting vote was made in the composers own specific composer topic, and NOT in this TOP THREE list topic. If you want to look up your old vote or change it, please go to the composer´s specific topic to find it there.
  5. @Nautilus: I checked the voter lists for you. You´ve already voted on Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer in the composers´ specific topics. If you want you three new votes to be counted, please look up your old votes and quote them.

You other votes will be included during the next update.

    Thank you.

    That´s it for tonight, guys.

This has been a hell of a ride those last two days, but now we have a very large and, as I think, good list to look at and to discuss about. After all, this is not only about voting, but about discussing the results, as well.

Now that the lists are finished and working again, I hope to do the first regular update in months at some time this weekend. It will start with the counting of Nautilus´ votes he posted today.

    Have fun!

Finally, after some absence of mine, I´m finally able to continue this.

All originally listed composers are now up to date. Additionally, I finally added some of the new composers.

Since this is a LOT of work, and there are a LOT of new composers I still have to add, PLEASE don´t give additional / new / changed votes until further notice. I promise I will add the missing composers during the next days, and then hell is allowed to break loose. Until then, have faith and patience.

Thanks for welcoming me back, mates.

Just for fun (and to start discussions), I have another list for you; it contains every score which managed to get at least 14 points. I settled on 14 points because that´s what was needed to get Conan into that list. biggrin

I´d guess this would make a perfect beginner´s collection, then... It is, however, at least a damn fine list, I would say...

David Arnold: Independence Day / Stargate / Godzilla
    John Barry: Dances with Wolves
    Patrick Doyle: Henry V.

    Basil Poledouris: Conan the Barbarian

    Ahem... th-thanks, g-guys... shocked

Well, I´ve just decided that updates will be done one voter at a time. biggrin

Now, what do you guys think about this Top Three business, after it´s up and running again...?

What do you think about how the lists are done and organized? What about the results (for those composers where results could be counted as such (at least ten voters))? Anything else you wanna say?

I´m thinking about adding another feature to the voter lists. The date of vote. That should help massively finding your old votes and quoting them, even if it makes the voter lists a bit longer. I thought about a short six digit code (071215=YYMMDD). It should be obvious that I´ll need some time to add those, but I think we need something like that, or this will get out of hand, sooner or later.
