I'm sure it must be Timmer because the EFX's, lack of acting from the wooden indian (Bronson), and poor Hull, who I felt sorry for.

Agree. I found the acting and story ridiculous (especially Monica Belucci, down-right tiring) but the score is splendid, one that i visit regularly.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I didn't have anything about the story, really, and Belucci. Willis though was somewhere between McClane and Malcolm Crowe from Sixth Sense and didn't know who he's playinghttp://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Strange, because I actually think this is a case that a bad movie was made worse by the score. I remember I was working at a cinema at that time and was forced to watch the movie through. Everything I saw on screen and every line of dialogue screamed "pretentious", and I actually disliked the score ( before I knew it was composed by Zimmer). I thought to myself "So they think they can just throw in a bunch of African chants in the score and save the bad movie?" Later I found the dude behind Lion King was responsible for the score. I tried to like it but still can't. The score is so over the top, as everything else in this movie.
But it's good music on its own, on CD; just didn't work for me in the movie.
