  1. LA LA LAND just won best original score and best original song (for "City of Stars"). I would have gone for the other song from LLL, but I'm very happy to see Hurwitz win two oscars.
  2. I'm generally not really interested in musicals but I obviously need to give this one a listen.

    Bach's music is vibrant and inspired.
  3. You do! It's my favorite score from last year, and I don't typically like musicals either. It's just so fun, and so happy. And the songs are interesting from an orchestral perspective, which was refreshingly different than my experience with a lot of musicals. The film is really fun, too, and seeing it further solidified my enjoyment of the score. It's excellent stuff. This year, the academy got it right.
