Nevertheless, I dutifully listened to the entire score five times, as is my practice with every single new piece of music I obtain. This practice is intended, among other things, to allow scores which are not instantly likeable to grow on me. Unfortunately, unlike just about every other score I've ever purchased, there was absolutely nothing that grew on me in this score.
I do exactly the same thing. I find that I appreciate a score so much more after that. I was very glad to have given Davis' Warriors of Virtue a 3rd, 4th, and 5th listen because I wasn't wowed by it the first time, but by the end I was super impressed. Great score! -

I've been listening to Eshkeri's Coriolanus. It's a raw, rather sparse score. Repetitive but what there is sounds good to me.The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Something I've yet to listen to.
