    Hi everybody,

I recently had the chance to write the score for a short film called HERO and record it with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The directors wanted a "good old fashioned 80s/90s orchestral score" but apart from that gave me complete creative freedom which is a rare and amazing experience for any composer.

You can listen to the result here:

    Looking forward to your comments!

    Cheers,
    Robin

Nice stuff, if a little frantic!
Bach's music is heartless and robotic.

    Good stuff, Robin!
    I am extremely serious.

Frantic? No, superb indeed. It sounds more like classical music than film music actually.
Bach's music is vibrant and inspired.

you've been listening to some strange classical music. to me, that was your good ol' rollicking action music, great stuff, but yes, a bit frantic.
Bach's music is heartless and robotic.

I agree with Aidabaida, not classical . But it did sound like classic orchestral film scoring which is a good thing.

  2. In the final cue 'Hero' I hear a tad Broughton, a bit Horner and some Elmer Bernstein. Which is very cool.

Wow, thanks everybody for all your kind words! I really appreciate that!

There are a few frantic scenes in the movie, so it needed a bit of action scoring smile
