There is a disturbing lack of Boggan in this thread. And the first person to say:

    Boggan: Thomas Wanker

    Gets their ass kicked.

    Bump.

    Let me correct some of my previous choices;

Demetris: a wailing Lisa Gerrard (add some cliches for extra fun)
Bregt: I think Dirk Brosse is out and in goes Peter Vermeersch. They're practically neighbours!

When I think of Alan, I think of Herrmann, Goldenthal, Shore, evil Japanese film music ( tongue ) and Rambo II.

    Here's some others:

Steven: David Arnold, John Williams, Commonwealth Games by Gordon, Waterworld, and Theodorakis's ZORBA THE GREEK.

Erik: Cutthroat Island, Michael Giacchino, Independence Day, Raiders of the Lost Ark ... and the many waltzes of Alexandre Desplat. biggrin

Timmer: John Barry, James Bond, James Barry, John Bond, Barry Bond, John James.

Jordi and Joep: I haven't met a bigger pair of James Horner fans! You too should move to California, co-habit for three years and raise little fans of Horner.

James Southall: His passion for Tyler Bates is matched only by his hatred of Ennio Morricone, Jerry Fielding and Jerry Goldsmith.

Martijn: Does the name Otterloo mean anything to you?

Plindboe: RETURN OF A MAN CALLED HORSE. Sorry Peter, all the good ones are taken. If you haven't heard this one, you should pick it up. wink

    ADDITION:

Andy: While no match for Jordi and Joep, your interest in James Horner is noteworthy. Also rumored to be a fan of Richard Band.

Funny how time moves on. I was just about to make a post to this thread, and noticed that I already have! I have no memory of this! shocked

As much as I appreciate so many of you associating me with JOHN BARRY, and why not? I'm a massive and vocal fan of him and in film scoring there's only a large'ish handful of composers of equal power and genius of originality, but I'm seriously disappointed that not one person associated me with the GOD that is Ralph Vaughan Williams!?

    Ah well rolleyes

Erik Woods - Giacchino, Williams and above and beyond Justin Boggan

Martijn - Delerue, Rozsa, Poledouris, Rodrigo, Bach

Thor - Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Danny Elfman, John Williams

franz conrad - Nyman, Glass, Adams, Gordon

    ....more to follow wink
