I like it a great deal, though, I should say. Just not quite enough to get into my Goldsmith top 25. (I don't really have a Goldsmith top 25, but if I did then I don't suppose it would be in it.)

    First Blood
    Rudy
    Gremlins
    Capricorn One
    Rio Conchos
    The Last Run

There's six more for you, boys and girls.

And so ends my list of the 31 Jerry Goldsmith scores worthy of five stars. You will note that I listed them strictly in alphabetical order so no suggestion of ranking by any other method should be inferred.

I have never listened to the whole score, but Extreme Prejudice has a noteworthy final track. (I think this may be one of D's cherished synth fart scores.)

I don't think I've done a top list of Goldsmith in ages. All I know for sure is that THE MUMMY is on top.
    I am extremely serious.

I remember really liking Extreme Prejudice, It's been so, so long since I last heard this. I'd love to give it a listen right now but it's not on Spotify and the only version I have of it is on LP packed away somewhere.

For me, any such list would need to specify if we're talking albums or score-in-context. They would be quite different.

Come to think of it, I think I've made two such Top 10 Goldsmith lists before -- one for albums and one for scores-in-context. But maybe that was another forum.

He is as welcome to be as furious in thin air as he likes.

Besides, he hardly replies to a mention of his name at the moment.

( which I seem to recall him saying was due to doing everything on his phone and all the problems inherent in that? )
