  1. MUSIC.FILM AND VARÈSE SARABANDE RECORDS TO RELEASE FEMKE’S “DANCING IN SILENCE” ON APRIL 6

New Song Co-Written By Femke and produced by ReauBeau, Using Carter Burwell’s Central Theme for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

(April 6, 2018– Los Angeles, CA) – Music.Film and Varèse Sarabande will release a new single “Dancing In Silence,” inspired by Carter Burwell’s themes from THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. The track was co-written by Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Femke and produced by Dutch electronic music artist ReauBeau.

“Dancing in Silence” is the result of a unique partnership, one that allows the song to work off Carter Burwell’s central theme from his score for THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. The film was a big winner at the Oscars and other major international film awards and earned the composer both an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination.

ReauBeau was inspired by the soundtrack, and couldn’t miss the opportunity to work with such an important piece of music. Using elements of the soundtrack, ReauBeau incorporated an epic progression as well as his signature punchy drum rhythms. Femke introduced her unique take on the track by adding completely original lyrics and vocals, which were inspired by the film’s powerful message. She also acted as a co-producer, completing the circle of wonderful musical collaboration.

“The movie is such a powerhouse and showcases a strong female character,” said Femke. “I hope by putting lyrics to Carter’s powerful theme, we can create an anthem for a new generation of women.”

“It’s fascinating to hear how the score to THREE BILLBOARDS has been re-imagined here,” said Burwell. “I’m honored that Femke and ReauBeau were inspired by my theme to create this song.”

Femke is a Grammy-winning songwriter and producer who released her latest single, Call This, in 2017. Femke has been getting special recognition for her unique writing style since her study at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Originally from the Netherlands, Femke has come to Nashville via Los Angeles, where she was an assistant to film composer, Richard Gibbs, on TV shows such as ABC Family’s Ten Things I Hate About You and The Tracey Ullman Show. Femke worked at Hans Zimmer's remote control and has recently started a record label in Nashville.

ReauBeau is one of the most exciting new Dutch artists in the electronic music scene. In the past year the Hilversum native has worked for Red Bull Media House, Bleeding Fingers, Cutting Edge Group, and has also released original music on Lowly Palace/Trap Nation, MA Music, WOLV, and Riotville Records. His track with Snavs ‘Dreams’ was released on Spinnin’ Records and was remixed by Tiësto. He has also already played at the biggest electronic music festival in the world, Tomorrowland.

“Dancing In Silence” will be available through all major digital platforms on April 6, 2018.
