A very good score, though I already bought it once (download) so don't think I'll take the plunge for the CD.

Had the great pleasure of seeing him in concert in London last night. A genius in his field.
Anyway, it was his songs, not film music; but he did include a plot summary of Toy Story. "The film managed to be a success even though they talked over my music... there's a cowboy and he's great but then he's sad because a spaceman comes along... then there's part of the film I've never bothered to see because there's no music in it... then you come back and the spaceman's drinking and wearing a dress because he finds out he's only a toy... then they all go off in a rocket and it's like a John Williams movie and I wrote this thing that's like Bruckner or Mahler, only shittier, and then it's Christmas and everyone's happy."
In one song he failed to hold a long note and at the end said "You know, the same thing happened once at a show I did in LA. I couldn't hold that note. But in the middle of it when my voice was breaking I heard this jerk in the audience start laughing. I looked up and it was my son. Not a great moment for me."
