I'm not a fan of the score - but I do have the 2-CD boot version. It doesn't get much of a listen. And looking at my "favourites" playlist I have about 15 minutes in total in this playlist.

NP: The Yards - Howard Shore
A beautiful score - never seen the movie but this CD has one of my favourite Shore themes.

  4. Yeah the regular album will do nicely. I like Eraser, but it's more than enough.

But I'm sure there's people who want this.

I have and believe me when i say the score works wonders in the very good film. The music SHore written for this film is so emotional, sweepingly melodic and beautiful at places, so much superior to what he's been doing after LOTR.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

That's cool, it's a great score. I'd be more excited to see a complete Judge Dredd, though.

indeed, if you do something complete, go for something that's worth it

Eraser has a fine enough album for me

Personally, I wish they'd release those scores for which there is no commercial album available already. I hope some label manages to pick up the rights for The Polar Express some day soon.

  9. "Oops -- we announced too ealy" Amazon.com strikes LLLR again:

    Christopher Young - Love Happens
    http://www.amazon.com/Love-Happens-OSC/dp/B002ZXZJDS

Days Of Our Lives 2 disc set (The Soap Opera??? )
    http://www.amazon.com/Days-Our-Lives-OSC/dp/B002ZXZJE2/

Bear McCreary - Battlestar Galactica - The Plan/Razor
    http://www.amazon.com/Battlestar-Galact … B002ZXZJQK

The first one I already reported. The second one ... odd choice. I actually purchase a CD with some score (legally released) from the show about five or more years ago. So sue me.

to me, it's still about quality
lately, Varese has been releasing weaker albums, but at least they still bring some of the biggest composers' works

  13. New comment by LLR at FSM:

It's a our first release with Sony Special Products. They have different production terms than other companies. In the coming years we will have editions of 3500 units all the way up to 5000 units (depending on the title). Most of those titles will be part of our Expanded Archival Collection.

Can only dream of what Sony may be letting them do.

the only thing I care about is the sentence we dicover on the Intrada page punk

We've got a fabulous array of new releases coming up for 2010. And given the plethora of great albums coming out from all the other labels, it looks like things are just gonna stay exciting for months to come. I guess Arthur C. Clarke never saw all this in his future

Any ideas on the one for the 14th?

2009 was a great year for Goldsmith titles - hoping for another one in 2010!

If it's Sebastian then I'll definitely order it, I really like that score ( I have it on LP )

If you enjoy his Flint scores you'll likely find enjoyment in this too.
