    Tough stuff!
But I'm afraid that he will never be able to start with his concert tour... well, at least we get new music of him.

Finally I'm having some time to read Pawel's interview (great one! beer ), and I'm not quite sure what he is up to with the concerts... a lighting designer? dizzy
    aka Pridelander
  3. Yeah. Seems like he wants to make it like a rock concert - a whole show. Or maybe not even rock concert. If you have a special light designer, Zimmer wants to pull off a show like Madonna maybe?

Great interview, Pawel! Congrats on scoring such an A list composer.
  4. I want to give everybody here a huge thank you for reading and your wonderful comments on my Zimmer interview. This was an experience to treasure for the end of my life.

I hope to talk to the man again as soon as it gets.

There are a few notes that Zimmer used a lot after the thin red line that I use to think was a waste of time.

An example of those notes can be found in the first 3 minutes of " a hard teacher". Now, I realized that those notes can work very well as a reflexive music .

I still think it's a easy Zimmer trick, but at least now I find some meaning to them.

I only wanted to say that. tongue

    lol biggrin

Actually I remembered the Disney concert last year, they played Pirates suite with lots of lighting and smokes, even they throw out tiny fluorescent grains (? I don't know what it exactly was) at the ending. I wondered if the musicians could read the score sheets dizzy

Thanks for posting that video. I hadn't seen that one yet. And for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I Will Survive is quintessential Igudesman. Some of the funniest stuff he's ever done with Hyung-ki Joo. Check it out. smile I like Igudesman's crazy playing style a lot and I'm really curious to see how it'll mesh with Zimmer's style (without being Sherlock Holmes 2).

I see that Hans Zimmer has made it into the "classical music establishment" along with the likes of Arne, Parry, Elgar, etc:

Quote from "The Last Night of The Proms"

Wagner Lohengrin – Bridal Chorus (5 mins)
Rodgers and Hammerstein Carousel – 'You'll never walk alone' (5 mins)
Hans Zimmer Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest – Hornpipe (3 mins)
    Arne Rule, Britannia! (8 mins)
Parry, orch. Elgar Jerusalem (2 mins)
Elgar Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 in D major ('Land of Hope and Glory') (8 mins)
    The National Anthem (2 mins)

I saw Sherlock Holmes last night and found it very uninspired and dull, especially compared to the highly superior films he's made in the past (apart his Madonna crap). The score is further irritating on film that it is on CD.
