One of my all-time favorite Beltrami scores, in fact even more than Hellboy. And that main theme.....oh i love that!

Yeah, tough call? I think Hellboy just edges it though! And whatta shame Beltrami isn't on board for Hellboy II.....Elfman fer cripes sake rolleyes slant

Wonderful theme! Great score all round!

A score that desperately needs a re-recording! John Morgan take note. wink

I'm slowly but surely getting addicted to Danna scores...I just got my 5th one recently, Being Julia. Different than anything of theirs I had before...I think its the only one with no ethnic influences. (the other ones I have are Water, Kama Sutra, Green Dragon, and The Nativity Story)

NP: A Thousand Roads (Gerrard & Rona)
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!
  1. TIDELAND is quite a nice one. It's perhaps a little long, but was very engaging.

    NP: THE NEW WORLD (Horner)

Playing this for the first time in while... with certain pieces by Mozart, Wagner and others added. I love this movie so.

I think you can safely place me in the lowest parts of the fan-list for this score; same goes for Krull. There, i said it.

Mustn't have any passionate, rare and breathtaking string adagios. wink

TREVOR JONES | League of the extraordinary gentlemen

Apart the bold and glorious main theme with its repetitions / variations, there's virtually nothing else to enjoy. Except if you like LOTS of typical underscore in between. A very overrated score, imo.

I never really warmed to listen it all in one go, but there's enough in between to make it at least a good score. Like the thunderous Capturing Mr. Hyde, or the glorious Sword of the Ocean. Nothing too great, but imho, entertaining nonetheless smile

    Fields of Freedom (Trevor Jones)

The length for this album is perfect and the score is really too imo. Usual Jones lush themes and i love them. The action material is pretty good. Highly recommanded for Jones' fans.

Perfect? I think so. 5 big golden stars!

Broughton's inept ability to use and develop themes is matched by VERY few.

NP: Mutiny On The Bounty - Bronislau Kaper
Interesting. There's about as much I like as dislike.
Never been too much of a fan of Kaper's, and this is no exception. However he does rise above himself, especially in the more indigenous cues, which are very infectious.
This one's gonna require multiple listens before I make up my mind.
