the NEW OPERA is out and it looks great! punk

I may just be lucky, but this new version of the browser seems to be a bit quicker at loading pages. Is this possible?

There are a few glitches though. I notice here that when I add comments and they are then displayed in that yellow-flashing box my post reappears in the "add your comments" box at the bottom of the thread, right below my newly posted comments.

Yeah, same here. Don't know if it has to do with the browser or the site though? I mean in relation to this new browser of course, an error which passed by with other versions so far? Don't know, Bregt's the guy for this thing wink

As for what you've said, yes i am very positive too that it's the fastest browser around as we speak.

Opera? The fastest browser? Gotta go check that one out! lick biggrin

If you'd kept reading you'd have found out it was the new Firefox. wink

Looks like Google is about to join the game with its "Chrome" project:

Yup, heard about this on the news earlier. Sounds interesting - a browser designed to take advantange and run websites with tons of graphics and sound better... wink

I hope they do a thing or two for the UI too. I personally don't like Google Talk's looks very much.

No, it's something between OPERA and Firefox at first glance....and no spell check?

I couldn't be bothered to read the 2nd page here, but James, ADBLOCK PLUS and NOSCRIPT are reason enough to switch to firefox. Aren't you sick of ads?

There's also the fact that it seems faster nad likely uses less RAM.

Agree but there are also many other benefits that come in the form of gorgeous add-ons that would convince anyone to switch to firefox. Take a look here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo … rt:popular

    Nothing comes even close.

I know; what i don't buy though is that CHROME is the one that will be monitoring my movements on the internet while i simultaneously use firefox and get google ads ALL THE FRIGGIN that obviously monitor my behavior online and bug me all the time with stuff that's supposed to be of my liking.

Does anyone know if there's a spell check add-on / capability for IE.7?

  2. No, I don't think there is, but I haven't been using IE for a LOOONG time.

  3. Just a question for the Firefox experts: where are the favorite links stored? I assume it's not in the same location as with IE?

I can't remember exactly, but they are saved somewhere in your Firefox directory. Try looking for a folder called profiles or something. It stores them all in one file rather than IE which creates a separate shortcut for each.

Actually google chrome is pretty good, fast, smooth and modern-cool looking; if they implement a spelling check option, then it'll be great.

I really liked that option where it studies a bit the pages you visit most frequently and does 2 things: creates a quick access thumbnail bookmark page with the 6 most recent visited sites of yours which keeps changing accordingly and when you open the browser it automatically opens and refreshes / reloads the top-3 last most visited pages of yours!
