  1. I've just added my comments of Bear McCreary's score for Chillerama: Zom-B Movie:

I'd be interested to hear peoples' comments on what they think of my review of a score I don't really like!

  3. For your New Babylon review can you not just write, "Speechless" or "I can't find the words to express adequately how..."?

Interesting to read a couple of 5-star votes for McCreary's score. Nice to see it is so popular.

I saw the film at the cinema when I was a child and it gets regular showings on UK TV stations, I wouldn't bet on it not being on a channel this christmas. The songs are excellent and the film is good, light hearted fun ( though the CHILD CATCHER probably gave many children nightmares ), I can watch this over and over.

Always keep your audience guessing! But hoping the reveal is not a disappointment.

Check out my review of Lucas Vidal's score for the 2009 short film Basket Bronx. It's a short score but is a good example of this up-and-coming composer's talent:

    For a 12-minute short film.

Easing myself back in gently! My next review is for another short film and is a breathtaking 18 minutes long!! ('Breathtaking' meaning the length of the score rather than the quality of the music perhaps.)

    wink

Well, you'll certainly win over Thor with these short C&C releases!

  9. Well, Thor rather didn't complain about the C&C release of Zimmer's Thelma and Louise which was less than 40 minutes long, maybe that's the right way wink

Yeah, a few times these relatively short albums work well in a C&C format. Same goes for ROCKY IV. Not only because of the duration, but also because each track has a self-sufficient quality.
    I am extremely serious.

I don't know where to write this so I'm writing it here. A few years back I have said that I would like to help with the reviews not by writing them but by editing then if and when necessary. Things happened then and I wasn't able to help. But now I can so I renew my offer of help if is still needed. smile
