I just did an interview with Paul McGillion, the actor who's playing the character of Dr. Carson Beckett on the series Stargate: Atlantis. I was soo goddamn nervous, but it turned out alright! Man, that was fantastic. Even got my DVD of A Dog's Breakfast signed.
Man, this day almost can't go wrong anymore! What do you hear? Nothing but the rain... -

Got a new router today, and just managed to configure my entire home network (1x ethernet PC, 3x wireless PC's, and my Xbox) all in about 15 minutes! -

I ordered my new TV today, and when I got back from the store I found my car on the driveway. It's been at the smash repair place for the last few days, so to say I'm thrilled to get it back would be an understatement. Overall, it's been a good day. -

It's weird how a piece of metal with plastic and wire can create everything we see on screen!
What I really don't get though is how stuff like graphics cards give off so much heat??? -

You don't hear someone say that every day, that's for certain!
I hate you.
Tonight however I'm going go see the filming of Not Going Out. -

Shut up!!
Go to your concert.
Anyway, Eagle Eye clearly makes for great running music. I just managed to do 2 miles in 20 minutes without stopping!! (it's impressive for me!) -

It was in Ghent. He was there for the FACTS convention on saturday and sunday, but I managed to do the interview on Friday and pick along a unique screening of Stargate: Continuum in the theatre.
Paul's a very polite and funny man. I told him it was my first interview ever and he goofed a bit to get me to relax. Anyway, the interview was for a site that I work for (scifibelgium.com), but it isn't online yet. I'll be typing out the interview in one of the coming days. What do you hear? I love his accent too. Did you take pictures as well? -

There was a photographer, and yes, he took a few pictures and he was going to send them to me. But i'm not sure if I'll be using them, though... :DWhat do you hear? Nothing but the rain... -

Picking up not one but two CD orders from the post office (one had been delayed from last month, and the other more recent one arrived much sooner than expected), giving me over 30 new CDs to listen to, including much anticipated stuff like The Water Horse, Bangkok Dangerous, Scorpio and Kung Fu Panda. Listening to Scorpio right now.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

How much did you buy in one go man?! -

Since a few days, I have an iPhone (beware, I got it, wouldn't buy it myself). This is one of the most coolest things I've ever had in my hands. It runs so smooth, works so well and breaths freshnss and pure logic. The touch screen and OS works extremely well.Kazoo -

I prefer to take the fifth on that one. But remember it was really two go's in one. I order my CDs that way: in large batches every month, instead of individually. Saves on shipping, which I abhor paying.
Although I'll say this: these orders did contain my copies of The Naked Spur and The Outer Limits 3-CD sets, which didn't help keep the price tag low. ugh.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

The friend I had lunch with yesterday showed me his new iPhone. It's clearly a wonderful piece of technology, but I don't NEED one (note: "want" and "need" are two mutually exclusive things for me). The friend made it sound as though my life would not be complete until I bought the damn thing. He's quite the drama queen (even more so than me, and HE is the straight one between us! ). -

I have a husband who is addicted to his iPhone as well.
Too bad the phone (what is in the first place, although I'm not too sure...) didn't work at first but I think that's fixed now?
He really likes these kind of gadgets. And my son who is 7 likes it too!
He waits for my hubby to come home so he can play games on his iPhone.
I think it's nice but I cannot think of one reason to want one myself...
I think the 'level' (is that the word?) and the guitar and drum thing are fun though. And all the games that work by moving the phone.

Exactly. As much as I want one, I'd only use it to make calls. I think my crappy Nokia will keep me going for a while longer. -

Same here: I'm rather gadget-resistent.
I use a phone for texting and calling and not much more, and as much as I'm in favour of integrated portable application a la Star Trek's tricorders, the addition of a virtual glass of beer that is emptied when you tilt the iPhone or a virtual light sabre that makes clashing noises when you swing the iPhone don't really do very much beyond an initial chuckle to enhance the quality of my life.
That said, I've now seen a phone in shops that carries an integrated GPS. Now THAT seems sensible! The times I've heard "where are you?" ring out desperately through many a colleague's, friend's or indeed complete stranger's phone while in transit are quite legion!'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

As of LAST WEEKEND, I am now the (proud? embarassed? confused?) owner of a cheap-ass Verizon cell phone, my first one ever. I was dragged screaming and kicking to Best Buy by a friend who left no room for argument. I don't even quite know how to set it up yet, but at least I have it now. I only really need one to keep track of people when I go to conventions. The rest of the time it'll just sit on a shelf, turned off.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

I never heard of these weird facts you mention about the iPhone. So far, it really convinced me of its success as a gadget but also as a smart phone. And I wasn't so sure of that before I got it. Very neat, very handy, smooth, useful and clever beyond words.
iPhone 3G has GPS too btw. Backed with Google Maps, which are always up to date.Kazoo
