Oops, meant Queen of Carthage! (Got my legendary wires crossed.)
That's another great score that ALMOST made my Top 10 due to a couple of outstanding tracks. I doubt it's on Erik's list, though.I am extremely serious. -

Not to hijack the discussion, but I'm curious how this score can be bought. Australian iTunes doesn't appear to have it. (HELEN OF TROY is another one I keep my eyes open for, and can't seem to find.)
I saw the wallfisch score on amazon once. The next time I looked it was gone. Try SAE? They're both on Spotify if you haven't heard them yet. -

Again, strangely it seems -- neither are on spotify in Australia.
I'm not quite at the point where I'd like to buy them. Hearing soundclips would be good.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

If only some kind soul could upload some tracks of one of them onto some kind of online radio show...

It's only taken me a year, but I've been going over some of your Best of 2012 while working today, Erik. I wouldn't have otherwise heard There Be Dragons, Isabel or that Panu Aaltio score, and I think you managed to find a good form to listen to Lincoln in too. Good stuff all round. The romantic score isn't dead by any means.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

BTW, the next two scores are tied for the top spot! But it's pretty obvious now which scores they will be.

I don't think the film has had a regular premiere yet in any form -- only shown on some festivals last year. At least over here. It was on my third place too, btw.I am extremely serious. -

It's official release was in October in Spain. It's available to rent and purchase digitally now on iTunes. At least here it is.

Unfortunately not available here yet, neither iTunes nor anywhere else. But I'm sure it will be in a few months. It sounds like an intriguing concept -- a kind of thriller version of SHINE.I am extremely serious. -

There is a bit of the Rach 3 in that fictional concerto. I can imagine someone watching the critical scene in SHINE and going -- 'you know what would really add pressure here? if he knew he was going to be shot for making a mistake.'A butterfly thinks therefore I am -
- CommentTimeFeb 5th 2014
Absolutely. And Rach was the first composer that came to mind too when I listened to the Reyes concerto.I am extremely serious. -
