Great! I have two days off now as usual on Thursday and Friday and I was just wondering what to listen to. This show comes right on time! I will have two Indy days now.
    cool

By the way, I was at my local toy store yesterday and noticed the Indiana Jones merchandise inclusing the whip with 'whip cracking sound and theme music' (for a ridiculous amount of money I must add) and the button said 'try me!' but I couldn't do it as these toys are usually way too loud and people would all look my way if I did it, so I didn't, hehe.
    wink

I was curious though if it would be the raiders march, it probably is.

Great show. Thanks for putting this up. It helped me to reassure myself of my opinion about the new score. I think the Skull / Alien Theme is fantastic, but nothing people would "like" in the exact meaning of the word, I hope you know what I mean; it´s even darker than the Ark Theme; and both the Mutt and Irina Theme are appropriate, but painfully hard to memorize. That combined with the sometimes hard to follow action stuff is what makes it so difficult for some people to connect with this new score, me included. But I will listen to your first hour again and again and probably be able to memorize (and love) the new themes by the time the DVD comes out. smile

Thanks for putting up that Young Indy stuff, too. It has been years since I listened to it, and it was a nice and welcome return.
    I have a plan.

    confused
Wouldn't you just whip that whip to get the whip-cracking sound?
This sounds a little like getting a garbage can with special closing lid action. wink

I remember when Phantom Menace came out, those "push to try" toys were just getting popular, and of course, being a man, I couldn't resists.

It must have been an odd sight, seeing a thirty-year old man going round the toy shop, pushing *every* *single* toy, with sounds of blasters, light sabres, Vader's breath mask and sublight engines (and the odd dinosaur) filling the store. To try and save some of my dignity I tried nodding wisely and gravely mumble to myself "yeah, works as well", as if people would have been fooled into thinking I was an official Lucastoys inspector or something... shame

    *sigh*

Upon rereading this, I can suddently find much truth in Thor's statement.
I'm definitely not cool enough to hang with Timmer.
    sad

    wink

It was a soft plush whip. Looks ridiculous, but for kids it's not such a bad idea!
Imagine a leather one, with the package saying 'including real Indy scars'.
    wink

This one had me laughing out loud by the way:

Listening right now. Great job, Erik! It's very interesting to hear music from The Dark Knight, as I do not (yet) own the OST. And I am thoroughly enjoying your thoughts on the music! I really must check out your program more often...
