    Excellent point!

I do like the score, but I certainly see where you're coming from.

......'cause otherwise nobody would have bothered. As much as i like the score, i do feel that if it was written by anyone else of a lesser-status, nobody would have bothered, at least nowhere near to the degree everyone has for his and the upcoming sequel, music-wise.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

I don't see the point of film music like that though. Even less do I see the point of putting it on album. If the director's main objective for a score is that it keeps out of the way, why hire two extremely expensive composers to write it?

    1. Everyone likes working with Hans. That seems to be what gets him work time and again - people like working with him, and those who hang out with him want to work with him.
    2. Nolan won't always have the budget to be working with Hans, so he took his opportunity when he did a tentpole film. (It would have been inconceivable justifying the expense of two major film composers on MEMENTO or THE PRESTIGE, where the box office is more questionable.)
    3. The studio expectation for a film of this magnitude is that some big-names needed to be attached not only in the cast, but also in the craft areas. It's a way of showing the importance of their reboot. When this rebooted Batman series gets to film four and seems less like a gamble and more like a risk-free asset, I imagine Warners will feel a bit more like calling in Nicholas Hooper and David Yates. Just because the studio wants big names on the project however doesn't mean Nolan is going to change his perspective on how musically-developed the scores for his films should be.

Agree! I find it enjoyable but two great names does not a great score make.

That definitely sounded like a Hans Zimmer thing. He's all about the lower register of the string section. Was it just 28 celli only? Or that the full orchestra had 28 celli in it?

I have more than enough to absorb right here right now, The Happening can 'Happen' when I say it 'Happens' wink

Me too. I can't wait for JNHs score.
According to Varese Sarabande, it has to be another treat for filmmusic fans (yea, yea, I know... the Varese critics...).

Let the score roll on... the movie can pass by...

I´d have given all my money for a full-fledged end title arrangement of Lady in the Water´s themes...

How fast are Collosseum Records at dispatching for countries outside of Germany?

Or would I be better off ordering from Amazon.com with priority shipping?

I will want this score straight away! spin

This is the Varese seller on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/shops/index. … UQ5H0KX9WD

I order from them all the time, and it comes directly from Varese. Don't be fooled by the seller name on Amazon, this really is Varese. But a lot cheaper!

    I wholeheartedly recommend them! smile

I expect this to be some kind of psychological thriller, with people trying to hurt people and not something else. But I'm so curious on how this score is gonna sound. JNH hasn't failed me yet when it comes down to Shyamalan smile
