Hm dunno, i was worried after the non-so encouraging description of the score, but the small snipet could result in something interesting. Wait and see.

I love him when he´s in that mode. Should be better than some people thought.
    I have a plan.

Some of the female vocals that were dropped from the film, will be on the CD tracks as originally intended.

Can anyone confirm if the instrumental music on the main site for The Great Debaters is from James' score?

Never mind, the 15th Jan! 2 Howard scores on the same day. But The Great Debator's = WORST COVER, EVER.

Wow, it seems the score has got quite some music that's not actually in the film. Just saw it, and though I wasn't overly impressed with the music, it worked quite well in all its restraint style. I'm still rather interested in how it stands on it's own, but don't expect a masterpiece.

Are you talking about "I Am Legend" aren´t you?
And what about the film? As good as the trailer promises?

Ah, yes, I meant I Am Legend. I gave my (not very positive) analysis of the film in the 'recent viewing' topic smile

A pretty awful one in fact.

The best artwork appears to have been taken by the song album. The score cover is just based on the equally bad film poster.

I can't believe that I Am Legend has almost 45 minutes of music on the cd. I saw the film today, and I would have guessed 25 minutes at the most.

Arggh! I had Charlie Wilson's War on pre-order with Amazon.co.uk for Christmas and now, suddenly after it's release when it should be delivering, they say it's out of stock. Pricks.

How was it? Film and music-wise?

I was disappointed by the film. The concept was interesting, but it didn't play out well. The film meandered moving from scene to scene without a lot of purpose. It wasn't horrible, but it's not something I would recommend seeing in the theater. As for the score -- the times where there was action music, it was almost impossible to hear as it was buried heavily under the sound effects. The quieter moments on piano and strings were nice, but nothing to brag about. I'm interested in how it will sound on CD (especially since there is probably about 15 extra minutes of music not in the movie).

And I've got to agree with you on Charlie Wilson's War -- not having the music is nothing to lose sleep over. It's another boring score from Howard with maybe 5 minutes worth of interesting material.
