I realize that I need to come here more often - I thought about getting The Journey of Natty Gann but just missed out on it... only because I haven't really noticed that it was being released...

I have been away from this forum for so long now that I have lost connection with all this and don't really hear the news any more - it has even been so long since I last visited this forum that I had forgotten my password... never thought that would happen!

Oh well, old friends who now me from some time back - I am going to try to be here more from now on, and catch up with you people. I miss this forum and I miss the world of film music which I sadly have been absent from lately.
    - What matters is the music -

Don't worry, I do follow the new releases and still I missed Natty Gann, for financial reasons and for believing it would be available at least as long as the former two Intrada Horner-release... sad

    Hi Guys,

Is James Horner composing any new scores? Apart from Avatar, is there any?

I'm hoping that he's spending ALL of his time on the composing of Avatar.

I honestly haven't been this excited since the expanded Bond releases.

Stuff like this makes me feel like that young teenage score fan I once was many moons ago.

I guess it would do me no favours to say that actually my return to the forum was last night, with an insult about Nicholas Hooper?

Interesting choice of title, for sure! It's 25 years old or so, but still feels too "contemporary" for an FSM release somehow. More in LaLaLand territory....or Intrada at most. It's definitely interesting to see them branch out into the popular, mainstream material of the 80's, though. I'm guessing we'll see more of these as we drift further and further away from that decade.

As for my own personal reaction, it will be no surprise to anyone that I'm perfectly satisfied with my old GNP release. Great score!

(don't worry, Erik, I'll refrain from posting any C&C comments pertaining to this score for the moment!).
    I am extremely serious.
  1. I think I know how I'll get it, Christmas may be the word wink

If it's unlimited I'm in no hurry, so I can ask my cousin living in NYC to get me it as a Christmas present if she comes lol

  2. That's awesome news... Now it's almost a certainty that Star Trek III will get released also, which I always preferred over ST II.

Anyway I am most definitely ordering this too, for the remastered sound and cool artwork. And for the brilliant music of course.

  3. Man, what a year for Horner fans!
