Giacchino's track titles are witty, Horner's are just bloated.

He wrote Cristiada (For Greater Glory) and Black Gold last year! Amazing Spider-Man is his only new score this year so far.

  5. That's a slow year. I did not enjoy that watermelon. I'm sure it'll sell a ton though.
The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else.

Horner's Gold whatever he writes these days especially, amidst the electronic crap and Skrillex that flows around in film music.

I have less interest in film music now than I've ever had, apart from a select few composers I consider reliable and, of course, older classic release by Intrada etc I rarely get excited by anything anymore, of up-coming film scores only 3 spring out at me and give me the old excited feel and that's John Williams LINCOLN, Thomas Newman's SKYFALL and above all else Howard Shore's THE HOBBIT.

I enjoyed those Horner clips and even though it's something we've all heard before I can see myself buying and enjoying it.

It's so wonderfully derivative by the sounds of it! biggrin I love it already. And it's even got the Four Note Danger Motif.

    You are right.

But Horner rules wink I'm watching For Greater Glory, and the first cue you listen is just delightful. Can't wait to hear the whole score.
