At Timmer's suggestion, a separate thread for one of the finest film composers in our modern era, and one that is sorely missed.

I'm greatly looking forward to Lennertz' arrangement on Poledouris' first sketches on Bunyan And Babe

And well you should, as it's one of Basil's most flamboyant outings!
It would be hard for me composing a top 5 of Poledouris scores...just too many scores vying for an equal place. slant

No kidding. There's so many that are OOP and I'll probably never get to have either, like WIND, SWITCHBACK, MAKING THE GRADE etc. Oh well.

Thank goodness for Prometheus and their reissues of QUIGLEY, CHERRY 2000, FLESH + BLOOD, FAREWELL TO THE KING, not to mention the others they put out.
  1. Just wanted to remind everyone of this hilarious encounter with Basil:

Thanks guys! It's exciting for sure and a really nice score. Working on the album has been a rather emotional experience given the fact that Basil was taken away from us much too early. He was really one of the best!!!

confused But there IS a release for The Touch?
(insanely out of print and quite impossible to get in any dimension even vaguely adjacent to this one, but still...)

Thanks for asking, but we're looking primarily at scores that have never been released on CD before.

    mc
  6. Technically it was never released on CD in the U.S.A. ;-)

Besides, you'll get a good score out there for people to afford it and easily find, and make some money.

I can't remember where I got my copy? I had no problems getting it but this was a couple of years back.

Perhaps you mispelled his name, like you did in the title of your thread. That's the problem with search engines, you have to spell correctly.
