Well, not too much surprise so far, but there is quite some FX 'interrupting'... we'll see.

I just heard his SIMS 3 score; what a bunch of vomit-inducing soulless mickey-mousing!

How can it be "mickey-mousing" when - by the very definition of the phrase - it has to be mirroring specific on-screen actions, whereas THE SIMS 3 was scored with suites of music and not any actual underscore to specific on-screen motion.

And given your gut reaction, I'm guessing you despised Mark Mothersbaugh's score for THE SIMS 2.

You know what i mean, as in musical mickey-mousing. We are all familiar with its "formal" definition.

And given your gut reaction, I'm guessing you despised Mark Mothersbaugh's score for THE SIMS 2.

I am not familiar with it.

  1. For anyone not convinced that Gears of War 2 is actually worth listening to, put this on in your car, LOUD. It's a blast !! You know how some scores just don't work when driving? Like you can never get into it, or you don't hear the softer volume parts. This one totally does, and no need to put your pedal to the metal either. Just press play, drive and relax...

I really should give Transformers another spin, let those passers-by think I'm listening to some hard-core techno bollocks... biggrin

Nice, I'm looking forward to this one. I know many of the old fuddy duddys aren't, but I do like a bit of simple RC action music from time to time. Doesn't mean the world's coming to an end if we get the odd dumb action score...

I'm with SteveO, A fie on the fuddy-duddies! I can't wait for this one....I'm so excited I could implode in a mass of leftfield shapes and weep tears backwards in time at any moment.

I'm far from being a Jablonsky fan like Timmer, but I do like what he did for Transformers.

But the most important question for a certain member, who pops up once in a while.

Will it be available on YouTube?

If you don't answer I'm sure he will sooner or later.

It could be a placeholder image since there is no mention of "music composed by..." on the current one. That I have never seen before for a score cover.
