Excellent -- thank you for the reply. I've edited the filmography at my Newman site, and of course linked to your interview.

I was in HMV today and saw a CD (20+ minutes of score) from Animals United, by Newman. Any comments on it? -

Someone said at FSM a month or two ago, in a thread for the score, that it was average and nothing special from him.
Samples at SAE. See my site for links, when stuff is avaiable: http://DavidNewmanFilmMusic.150m.comThe views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Does anyone who has heard Newman's score for Hoffa have any opinions on it?The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

it has a stellar theme, the rest I don't know that well anymore. I gave it three stars, but it was tempting to give it 3 and a half solely for that main themewaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Varese CD releases are out:
My Demon Lover
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Music Composed by David Newman
Limited Edition of 1000 copies
From the Varèse Sarabande archives comes the wonderfully fun David Newman score for the Scott Valentine/Michelle Little 1987 film My Demon Lover.
A young man named Kaz (Scott Valentine), afflicted with the curse of turning into an animal at the least sign of sexual arousal, tries to remain friends with a girl he's just met (Michelle Little). Meanwhile, he recruits a bizarre street scientist (Arnold Johnson) to create an antidote to the curse before it's too late.
David Newman's talent was apparent even in the early days and My Demon Lover shows off the composer in a variety of different styles.

I have no relation to the film or score, but funny how they have replicated an 80's aesthetic in the cover art. -

This is my favourite Newman score! I always hoped (based on it) that he would do Star Trek after Goldsmith. -
