    Our companion to the Alfons Conde album The Abandoned features another exquisite horror score written by the Spanish composer in 2006: The Dark Hour (original Spanish title: La hora fria). This one was performed by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and is an atmospheric symphonic score that has a lot of dark but colorful music to offer the listener.

    "We wanted to surround this film with a suffocating, anguishing, claustrophobic atmosphere. The key to the story is that the characters cannot leave the place where they live. Solitude is also a big theme," Alfons Conde explains.

    The score makes use of several interesting devices, including the pipe organ, a gothic approach which is contrasted beautifully by the solitary theme duet on bassoon and clarinet. Just like The Abandoned, this album features a lengthy bonus track, the exciting orchestral score from Elio Quiroga's award-winning short Home Delivery.

    We are having unexpected problems tracking down artwork shocked for the Musketeers album. The album will come out eventually, the master is already delivered to the CD plant! Thanks for your patience!

    I always wonder how labels can get their hands on artwork for often incredibly hard to find movie/TV productions. I mean good quality and sharp artwork. It seems a part of my question has been answered wink

    Well... finding the artwork might not be an issue. It's acquiring the rights to use it that can be difficult... same goes for the music, of course!
