  1. Anyone else been finding load times to be slow the last few days? It's not all the time but sometimes in the day it's really slow.

Maybe because of the age of my computer
    listen to more classical music!
  3. It doesn't seem to be too bad today.

I've a suspicion though that the slowdown may be due to the high level of irrelevant posts around sometimes?

I really don't know what to say. I really feel like I would like to uninstall IE8 (computer won't let me), get rid of Itunes as it is much easier to use on Maureen's MAC, and just start over.

  4. I've just had another episode of slow loading times - in fact, the site refused to load at all. Typing in the address or pressing the "home" key didn't help.

And when I was waiting for this site to load I could open other tabs to other sites with no problem at all.

    dizzy

Continuing my attempt to understand the problem I have with my PC and this site...

When I post a comment and click "add your comments" the page clears but never refreshes - it just hangs. So I stop the loading of the page and then press "refresh". The page reloads and my comments are there.

Can anyone diagnose this problem from my description?

    [Edit] There, it happened again...

    ...and again.

    [ad nauseum]

Could all this be because of some deficiencies with my PC? It is quite old.

With these sort of occurrences I'm never sure as to whether they are due to PC deficiencies, ISP or specific sites.
