I didn't mean it as disrespectful, I just don't want to give away a major spoiler. As the most famous Olmos's look I mean the
Tigh's flashbacks from the first episodes of Season Two.
http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

'Admiral and Commander' by Bear McCreary is a officially new favourite track of mine! -

For some very absurd reason, that's the theme from the whole series that I dislike the most. What do you hear? Nothing but the rain... -

Rian, that IS strange. As someone who normally hates celtic themes, even I like it!A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Does a wild bear crap in the woods? Depends....
But yeah, I don't know why I hate that theme. Must be a repressed memory or something. What do you hear? Nothing but the rain... -

The thing that kinda bugged me about the "Adama family theme" is how similar it is to a tune from A Thousand Roads by Lisa Gerrard and Jeff Rona. It's the last cue "Crazy Horse" where you hear it. Though not in the same Celtic style.
Mind you, McCreary may have composed his version first since A Thousand Roads was released in 2005. I don't know. It's probably just a coincidence anyway. -

Steven, where are you in the series now? I might hit half of the second season today.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

I've seen 11 episodes of season one so far, so just the last two to go of this season. Addictive stuff! -

True. It took me to well into season three to switch my sympathy to the Cylons.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

While everyone is going on about how the music keeps improving throughout the series and how outstanding the series finale was, I haven't heard anything that tops the truly awesome Allegro and Prelude to War from the 2nd season. (I really wanted to, though.) I think McCreary made huge improvements going from the 1st to the 2nd season - incorporating the string quartet more into the score, for instance - but quality remained more or less stable since then. Please prove me wrong though. -

I think the evolution of "Watchtower" from the Season 3 Finale up to the Season 4 Finale topped it, and Daybreak features the best versions of all themes he wrote for the series. I´m VERY excited that Daybreak gets a whole CD on its own.
On the other hand, "Prelude to War" is a spectacular track, and I can totally understand why you would prefer it over everything else. -

Prelude to War was indeed a brilliant piece of art in combination with how the scene was shot (rotating cameras around
Adama and Cain
; mid-season break of S2), but my personal favourite remains Something Dark is Coming. That and Are you Alive? / Battlestar Galactica Main Titles by Richard Gibbs from the miniseries. What do you hear? Nothing but the rain... -

I can't stand those main titles. (The one with the wailing women.) -

Indeed I have. Ended on a fantastic piece of music! (And lots of naked Boomers.) -

You'd rather have lots of naked Boomers or Number Sixes?
I guess it's good that we don't end up with having lots of naked Laura Roslin.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Number Six? Nah, far too clingy. Not very cute either. -

Tricia Helfer is a former model. They were afraid of casting her, but Moore (and maybe Rymer) insisted and she ended up being great. Hope to see more of her and Grace Park in movies. I also wouldn't mind more Katee Sackhoff.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -
