NP: Once Upon A Forest - James Horner

One of Horner's best animation scores with a great main theme. The songs are a bit naff though.

Wow! Arthur , merlin and Camelor relly inspires the composers!!!!

(King Arthur seems it was a personal score from Zimmer, only 2 additional composers!!! )

"addictive"? Catchy, sure! Problem is I don't like the theme, in fact I can't stand it! Some of the score is good though.

The film is such flag waving junk that I can NEVER see it gain.

...and I will never be able to understand your opinion on this. An edited version of the complete score makes for a much better album the official one.

When the choir kicks in on 'End Titles', film music just doesn't get any better - for me at least.

NP: The Water Horse: Legend Of The Deep - James Newton Howard

Gorgeous stuff, especially Swimming. I swear this score gives me goosebumps at various moments during this particular cue, and the second half of The Trap where the strings just build and build until the brass section releases all the emotion. The action material in the final third of the album is some of the best I've heard from Howard. I love it, I love it!

agree, i don't like the main theme. I find it annoying, that's why I prefer Stargate even if its more repetive.

    Anyway, ID4 rocks! beer

I've actually grown to like that one. wink I've just never seen the movie, so I have no idea how it works as a piece of film music.

    smile

The film is excellent ( just ask Michael & Martijn ), the score is brilliant and you just gotta see it cos it's got Clint at his mudderfucking cool best in it. Great turns from Lee Van Cleef and a scene stealing Eli Wallach who has one of filmdoms most quoted lines ( shamefully stolen and used rubbishly in Van Helsing ).

    NP: Titanic - James Horner

Or rather, my selfmade compilation of the official release and Back To Titanic's score cues. I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5. The 1/2 star deducted for the synth choir which sounds awful in parts (though I've kinda got used to it tongue ) but otherwise a great score! punk

What about the director's cut of the movie? 6 hours long?? it is worth to watch it?

(titans is a really annoying piece)

Oh, yeah, I forgot that one! I agree; that's a great villain track. I personally hold it up there with tracks like Davy Jones, Miraz Crowned, The Imperial March, The Kraken, etc. I'll edit my post to include it.
