I kept refreshing, saw all the files they stored in the root directory when they were uploading the new index page. Eventually got on but none of the images or text were visible (only hyperlinks!).
Navigated to the order button, paid, and got my confirmation, but now can't get on the site.
I was able to refresh and got the page again. But then I paid via Paypal. Hopefully, I'll get the signed version like I did with Godzilla. -

I've got it in my cart on Screen Archives. No problems there!
I went there too, but there weren't any mention of having a signed version so I decided not to go through them. Having a chance is better than not being offered on, I suppose. -

I only want signed copies if I've met the composer myself and asked for it. Plus, I've already got my copies of the original Independence Day and Casino Royale signed, live by David. So that wasn't really a dealbreaker for me . -

My reaction to this announcement is predictable, but I'll say it anyway just because I can:
I have zero interest in an expanded ID4, of course. Even the old RCA album is bordering slightly on gratuity in terms of length (given the bombastic nature of the music). In fact, I'm even thinking of selling the RCA disc altogether. I have a soft spot for the score, as it was a very early soundtrack CD purchase for me back in the mid 90's, and it does have some smoking themes and exhiliration, but it's simply not the kind of stuff I listen to much anymore - not in a 60-minute, cleverly arranged format and most definitely not in 654-minute, all-fucked-up chronological format with a gazillion alternates.I am extremely serious. -

You sure have your principles.
I'm not buying it either. I liked Godzilla a lot for example but it was a bit too long. All cd releases with multiple cd's are a bit much, except for compilations or rare examples like Ben-Hur or euhm.. others.Kazoo -

Same here. Fun release indeed, but i am saving for other stuff that are guaranteed to get more play time for meLove Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Anyway, mine has been ordered. When it arrives in my hands I'll be very happy to throw my bootleg CD-Rs in the bin. You cannot possibly predict how happy I will be to do that..."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

I'll be doing the same - bye-bye bootleg!

I'm on the fence, actually.
I do remember liking the original release, but haven't listened to it for ages, and now I'm wondering why?
Will give it another listen to see if I could stand/enjoy an expanded release.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Doing the very same earlier tonight, well not actually drooling like you but jumping around ecstatic like a little kid. Seriously there are still some things that do that to me, but that's getting more rare with each passing year. I'll expect to do the same when Hook and Trek 3 get released."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

For people who know, how does this new release compare with the bootlegged 2-CD version? A superficial look suggests that the La-La Land version has a few more alternates? The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I should hope that this release will have the exact same music from the film and the so-called regular cues that are found on the bootleg as alternates. That's the only way it would make sense to release it after 14 years."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

M, since you listened to it already, has the sound improved from the first album, if you can tell at all?"considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

I think he was listening to the original release to see if there was enough interest to buy the expanded version. Plus, I don't know how they can improve the sound... Dennis Sands' recording and mix is phenomenal.

Well okay, I'm sure it'll be improved immeasurably from the bootleg's sound."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Quality not bad, but the volume level wasn't always right. From my experience anyway."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

I found my version to be set at too low a volume. I'd forgotten to change the levels prior to uploading my favourite tracks to my mp3 player and, as a consequence, these tracks are very quiet.
That'll be sorted out when I add the tracks from La-La Land's version! The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

The album is longer, and has more material than was on the bootleg. The sound quality is exceptional, and has been remastered from pristine sources. Simply put, 2010 mastering technology is better than 1996 mastering technology. At least, that's my opinion.I consider a project a success when Thor says he won't buy it -

I basically got the 2CD version for basic archival purpose. I do love the Arnold score and have the boot, but I also want to encourage more C&C releases with awesome sound quality. :cough:BirdOnAWire:cough:
