Bregt, why is it that when you "start a new discussion," before anyone comments, it says there is one comment, yet when you go to your profile page, that one comment hasn't been added to your number of comments? When I click on "All William's comments," it lists the post from the beginning of the discussion I have just started, yet this comment seems to make no difference to the actual number of posts. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that there are inaccuracies between the "Comments Added" and "All [enter username here]'s comments." To fix this, you could remove the "Comments 1" text so that when someone creates a new thread, it says "0 comments," though, if you do this, you'd also have to be sure these opening comments are not included in the "All [enter username here]'s comments" page, as up to now they have been. Or, a much simpler solution would be to keep things the way they are, save that when a person starts a new discussion, this first comment should be added to their "Comments Added" on their profile page. I've probably confused you. dizzy Ah well. Just felt I should point this out to you. biggrin wink

I'm quite impressed with myself, as I haven't posted any suggestions in this thread for over a week! Yeah, you're reading that correctly, Tommy_Boy/Thomas Glorieux (dizzy), I have made it a few days over a complete week without annoying Bregt with my incessant suggestions on bettering the site! Aren't you PROUD of me?! cheesy biggrin

Sorr I haven't answered your PMs yet, I haven't been home much the past week, I was in Ghent, I'll handle them this evening or tonight.

And all your (previous) feedback, ideas and opinions are welcome. smile

Is it possible/a good idea to get Facebook-style notifications when someone quotes one of your posts?

Bregt, the new feature for the PM inbox/outbox doesn't seem to be working, at least for me. (But thanks for making it; it looks great! smile) Also, have you considered adding a button which would select all messages, rather than us having to check off every little box beside every message?

Bregt has added a new feature to the PM system, which (supposedly rolleyes tongue) allows you to delete selected messages with the click of a button. wink

    Should work now.

A bit more tuning on the visual appearance but so far, deleting multiple messages in one time is possible now.

Thanks for getting this sorted - I knew that if I kept badgering you in Bristol you would implement it as soon as you got back home.

BTW, if anyone is waiting for a reply from any PMs you have sent me, you may not receive an answer...I've deleted all my PMs out of my Inbox! biggrin

How about a small tag on film composers' profiles (if any are actually members here, which I suppose is relatively unlikely) which lists them as 'VIP's? I've seen this sort of thing on another (non-film music related) forum, and it'd be a pretty cool feature for MainTitles, IMO. Just a thought. smile

Am I the only one who do NOT want an over-swarming of features here? I think this is MORE than enough, actually. Before you know it, it looks like the jwfan.net board, which looks like a freakin' circus with all the flash images, avatars, quotes, you-name-it. You actually have to SEARCH the page to find the actual response there! Nah....not my thing at all.

I also don't want too many features, and most of the ones I do suggest would take up little space, and wouldn't intrude upon and overwhelm the eyes. True, things are probably fine as they are, but I still think a few new things here and there would be nice. I must agree with you about the JWFAN board. Way too complicated for me. I got an account there but have only posted about six times, and the last of those was posted over a month ago. MainTitles has - in my opinion - the greatest layout of any forum site (and site, in general) on the Net. Simplicity, combined with a great color scheme, logo, reviews, text box for posting comments, excellent quoting and post-editing systems, and a cool PM system, make this site my absolute favorite site on the Web. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the wonderful community! smile
