On the back of William' suggestion (though I think Alan has come up with this idea as well) I would be a great proponent of multiple reviews, or at least the ability to post comments (which obviously could contain (additional) reviews.
Agreed.

Hehe, yup, still fitting on a 1024pixel wide screen.
And for the coders out there
All form pages are finally valid xHTML now. I also made the page load time a bit faster, by not using direct images for the message options (edit, quote, ...). The pages won't jump as much as they used to.
Now working on a quote hider. What three C&C releases would you take to the little Island of Misfit Noise? -

Don't go above 1024 on the width - my TV doesn't go any higher than that!
So...how about tracklistings on reviews next?

I like the flash thing, but I say clear up the "Latest reviews" bit as it looks cluttered.

It's not flash!

First thought was that it's too cluttered and too busy looking. Haha, no, I'm not an advocate of doing what everyone else does.
But you are right. There's much on one screen. What should be gone, or how do you think it'd help? What three C&C releases would you take to the little Island of Misfit Noise? -

I like the New & Improved front page a lot!
Well done, Bregt.
I have just a couple of cosmetic suggestions (which you obviously are completely free to ignore!):
1) Centralize the Main Title Of The Week header: the right outlining is a little jarring (uniformity is easier on the eye).
2) make the Features "strip" smaller by half (by halving the size of the images): this will create a less "blocky" sense of the front page and add to a more uniform feel.
3) Decrease the font size of the actual thread names in the Latest Forum Discussions box: this will create a more hierarchic feel, as the names are now almost the same size as the box title.
Like I said: just some suggestions!
Incidentally, how did you manage to get an actual musical track on the front page without danger of being charged a zillion euros for copyrights???“The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision.” ~ Lynn Lavner -

I mainly agree with Martijn that the features strip should be modified. Made smaller? Yes. But I think that this strip should be used for something else.
In many ways this central strip is an item that immediately draws the eye - so it should be populated with something that is constantly changing. The features are not as regularly updated as often to warrant the central focus. I'd swap it for the listing of the reviews. I do like the idea of being able to "scroll" through CD covers (ala iPod) to peruse the most recent reviews.
I would then place the features somewhere else - or update them more frequently than they have been in the past.
Hope this helps! The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

And, where I am at the moment I'm using IE6 (must be one of the few left!) and the front page looks terrible. Nothing's where it should be.
In Google Chrome it looks fine but yet to view in Opera 10.0.The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I didn't optimize for IE6. I will no longer support it. But it should look all right, just not as neat as the modern browsers. Have you cleared the cache? What three C&C releases would you take to the little Island of Misfit Noise?
