    Quite by accident I discovered this re-make and discovered that Chandos has already released the material in a new original series called Chandos Movies. It is written by Adrian Johnston who did "Becoming Jane" among other works. It is as you'd expect to be quite soft with emphasis on strings and piano but it is something that I like.

    I didn't even know there was a remake of Brideshead?

    As for Johnston I really liked his score for Shackleton.

    I'd noticed that Johnston had scored this remake but I'd forgotten to follow-up by hunting the CD down:

    Like Tim I enjoy his score for the Channel 4 biopic Shackleton. And some of the cues in Jude are also quite beautiful (as well as in the aforementioned Becoming Jane).
