Is it any similar to CHILDREN OF DUNE, the mini series that Brian Tyler scored? I loved that one.
Um... I meant to say it has just the right amount of sex to propell the story forward.
Yuh, that's what I meant to say.
(But srsly, damn good show. Might not be your thing, but it's worth checking out. Lots of religious themes too, always focusing on the characters themselves.) -

I´ve never seen Children of Dune, but there are two fan-made trailers which are quite good in capturing the essence of BSG without revealing too much that isn´t known fact by the end of the pilot.
