    Fox Home Entertainment has confirmed earlier retailer reports that they will bring the Mel Brooks' comedy classic 'Young Frankenstein' to Blu-ray on October 7th. The dis promises to be one of the most advanced Blu-ray titles from the studio yet, coming on a BD-50 with 1.78:1 1080p AVC video accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

    Extras for this release include:

    I wouldn't be surprised if SPACEBALLS is part of the discounted monthly special for that release. iF you missed out on that one, grab it! :D

    both are good and fun, but Blazzing Saddles just repeats its material endlesly, and that for 25 minutes, and then it goes to bonus material which is basically once again repeating the same old deal

    sad really because both tunes are a lot of fun

    By the way, I just saw IRONWEED again the other day (I have it on DVD because I'm a Nicholson completist), and what a lovely Morris score that had. Almost Delerue/Morricone-like in its lyricism. And the organ music for the ghosts was pretty moody too. And the classical source cues etc.

    Really deserves a release.
