Here is something I've worked on for almost a year and finally finished.
It's basically a medley in 3 parts of some of my favorite JW themes or cues arranged for 12 French horns ( thus making it a twelvetet wink
I recorded all the parts one by one and then mixed them all together.
It contains references to at least 40 different JW scores from the 70's up until now.

The three parts are available here :

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K21DVI1U
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y3RB7FPC

Part I's also on my myspace www.myspace.com/marcpapeghin

    Hope you'll like it !

    Ha, Cantina Band! biggrin

It's pretty fun to randomly jump to a section and see how quickly you can guess what's playing. spin

Yeah, it's fun how one theme flows into another. While I would never want to listen to an entire CD filled with only French horn music, hearing the much loved pieces and being able to compare between your arrangement and how the maestro did it is pretty darn sweet!!!

I would to know Mr. Williams' thoughts on hearing these medleys, if he discovered this site one fine day. You did a fantastic job Marc. And how about a percussion-only arrangement now, for even more headaches, huh Demetris? dizzy

EDIT: Hah, I'm having so much fun, tapping my feet on the ground and grinning like an idiot when hearing these tunes played in succession. This is GREAT!!

Whats your beef with horns, Demetris?

    Possibly my favorite instrument!

The instrument rules, it actually kick-ass when the musician knows how to play it 'cause most of them amateurs kill the notes at once, but an all-horn, horns-alone thingy is not my.....thing.

    Hi guys and thanks !
I knew an all-horn piece wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea but I just did it for the fun and challenge it represented ( some parts are almost unplayable and litteraly took me hundreds of takes :p )

DreamTheater you may wanna check my myspace page, you might find a few other horn tributes of mine you could dig since I'm a huge prog metal and specially DT fan wink
