Folks, this one is STILL available. With the amount of average limited editions going out of print in a matter of minutes I'm SHOCKED that Monsignor is still available.

With some of the mediocre stuff that sells out very quickly, I can't believe this piece of prime Williams from his most popular period is still available. If you haven't bought it - you might not be familiar with the film, but this is brilliant Williams!
Having heard that the film is seriously pants I've made a concious effort to avoid it. The score really is so good I'd hate to have it ruinned with memories of a bad movie. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Great music!
Give him a movie to score. Hans? John?
EXTRAORDINARY MUSIC!
And what a magnificent show it is as well.

We want to incorporate some of this into our wedding. I guess we might use the song at the end ("Promise")
Anywhere I can hear sound clips?
You have to see it with the fireworks.

I really enjoy like a kid this score.
"Somebody Wants To Kill You" and "Have You Ever Killed Someone?" are two short action tracks with a very vibran string progressions, and some little homenages to Barry's Thunderball.
But man..." time to ge out", "the palio", "pursuit and port Au Prince" or "target Terminated" are really , really vibrant action pieces. The theme is not so obvious like in Casino royale, but it is there!
And..What happen with the pan pipes??? I love it in "Camille's story"!!!!
And then the little apparition of vesper theme... ( wich I wonder if this piano is for vesper, then the "city of lovers" theme for who is ? )
PS:Anthony. "oil Fields" has a typical Zimmer rythm. With this low techno electronics and then the percusion and guitars...sorry guy! -

Well, he has written one of the best scores of the year. I highly recommend checking out Burn After Reading But also see the film so you can hear the score in context.

1. I still cannot STAND the pan pipes. They are awful!
2. The "City Of Lovers" thing was the love theme between Bond and Vesper. As the name suggests, "Vesper's Theme" is for Vesper. I don't think you could have that love theme played in a morbid way. Vesper's theme is more dramatic.
3. I hear 0% Zimmer in "Oil Fields". -

Moby Dick Christopher Gordon
I've had Erik's edited suite of this score for a little while now (and loved it). I finally got my grubby mitts on the full score, and holy frick on a stick, this truly is whale music!
Typically optimistic, densely orchestrated, soaring theme I've become accustomed to from Gordon, it's just... bloody awesome, I can't get enough of this composer's music! -

One of my favourites from Newman, certainly one of his better albums. No boring 'underscore' that can sometimes be a mission to listen on CD (though always effective in the movie), just lots of melody. -

Yes, I really loved these melodies. Especially the main theme is gorgeous. I also like the theme heard in Snowplay.

I LOVE this guy's choral work! His music for The Armed Man, especially the track "Charge" is awesome! Unabashedly passionate and melodic.
He does so much classical music on the side too. Check out his Diamond Music album for starter, the first movement of Palladio was used in the famous B&W DeBeers ads. We used to play that back in school. Great stuff. -

Simply gorgeous!! The perfect companion score to Willow from the same year. If Willow (the score) is the big imposing guy with a heart of gold, then this one is its sweet little sister, looking like a million bucks.
Horner really defined thematic beauty and orchestral harmony with The Land Before time.

Um, yes, I seee... but what does it mean for something to be "pants"?? Never heard that expression before. It's quite amusing actually. Are we talking cultural clash here, perhaps?''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

Nooooooo! No need. Clearly the commando concept is a border-transcending ideal.
What is something is socks? Is that the same thing as saying it sucks? They both sound terribly similar.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me
