I've read your review Bregt and I found the music not bad but not too memorable either, except for the main theme with the Japanese sounding singers, which is rather good. And it doesn't just appear at the beginning and end. The score is actually built around it, but most tracks are more atmospheric than thematic. Still a good effort. And the lack of orchestra doesn't bother me. -

Hearing it on Cinematic Sound, I have to say that most of this score seemed like a cross between the theme from Xena: Warrior Princess and some of HGW's choral music from the Narnia films.
