Let's talk choirs... What's interesting is that everyone can identify a lot of music as a work of composer x and y, but when it comes down to guessing the choir... I think there are few choirs that have a unique voice you can spot straight away. The Metro Voices have such a voice. Listen to a score by Craig Armstrong and then something like Eric Serra's Arthur et les Minimoys.. You can't miss it!

In classical music, you can really identify the sound of a lot of choirs, but it also has to do with their conductors. The Monteverdi Choir (John Gardiner) is one example. Polyphony is another one (lots of male altos!), and Eric Ericson Chamber Choir has that typical transparent Scandinavian sound.
