  1. "Leafman"
    John Powell? Alexandre Desplat?
    Source: none.

IMDB is now listing both these composers on the film. Danny Elfman, who had been hried, is name is gone. Powell has worked with the director/producer before. All three composers are with, suspiciously enough, the same agency -- Kraft-Engel (already checked their resumes there).

    I am investigating.

Elfman said he's doing Leafmen after he finishes Frankenweenie in an interview with AICN last week.
  2. I hope, but these interviews are often held weeks, months earlier, then put online.

    What.
    The.
    Fuck.
    ?

Reject this shit and get a real composer. Any of us can name ten under used, to almost never used composers, desperately looking for work. People who could score this in their sleep, and still pull of a winner.

Personally, I'll wait to judge untill I hear it. Timberlake has written some great pop melodies, so if the score calls for some of that, it might be fine. Maybe it'll open up a whole new aspect of his musical talent, who knows?

I actually love these types of assignments.

  5. Indeed.

This is musical garbage, a blot of the history of songs, class, and real talent. It's more than enough he's joined the ranks of other talentess teeny-bopping, emo-wannabe, losers who's contributiuon to history will be forgotten in a couple generations. By way of what he's earned there, that alone should preclude him from film scoring -- the last thing we need is him over here fucking things up.

I don't want him scoring shit, anymore than I want Justin Beiber, Britany Spears, or some other emo, head-shavig moron scoring.

Go make crappy songs, leave us alone.

  10. In one of the biggest disappointments for me, Philip Glass is no longer scoring "Stoker".

FilmMusicReporter.com is reporting that Clint Mansell is currently recording a new score.

  15. "Total Recall" to Harry Gregson-Williams
"The Avengers" to the current-mode Alan Silvestri
"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" to Henry Jackman
    Elfman loosing "The Hunger Games"
"Red Dawn" remake to Ramin Djawadawadingdong.
And it looks like Marc Streitenfeld got "Prometheus"

My hopes are fairly low for what will come the "Man of Steel"* and "Dredd"* scores.

    * = Don't even ask about the "Rat's ass" I give about the aforementioned films...

Aaannnddd Zimmer has gone back on what he said, and is now scoring "Man of Steel".

Boy, I can't wait for the one-note Superman theme; with a buzzing, overbearing hum for the villain theme.
