I will NEVER understand why anyone bothers to post about things they claim NOT to care about.

Anyway, having listened to some of Koval's music at his website, he's not bad. The man definitely has chops, (something that I can't say about a lot of modern film composers) but that harp concert piece is much more interesting than his tv and film stuff.

Well, i'll agree, especially when it comes from Giacchino. I rather enjoyed his LOST VIA DOMUS game score, even if it was basically a retake on all the LOST material. smile

Was it recorded in Seattle or L.A.? I have a feeling it might be L.A., might diminish the possibilities of a soundtrack album for the VG due to the economy and musicians' fees.

Not sure if it was already confirmed, but Carter Burwell and Karen O (from the rock group Yeah Yeah Yeahs) will be providing the score to Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are coming out on Oct. 16, 2009.

Here's the link to the trailer for official confirmation:

BTW the movie looks amazing. I can't wait!
  6. If you go to his website and click on Works In Progress from his filmography list, you can see it and other upcoming projects. He reported that sometime middle or early last year.

Let's hope they listen to the Kamen score from Band of Brothers and it might inspire them. (After all, Neely worked frequently with Kamen before turning to the dark side.) Sadly I suspect not.
  9. Extremely disappointing. Any someone like Eric Colvin might have been a nice choice.

Ah; no chance for the score to be similar to Kamen's magnificence. Look at the plot and premise of the series, it's the perfect venue for standard, cliched RC war heroisms! And if done properly, i think i'll like it!

Ah; no chance it will be inspired by Kamen's brilliant score; this series here, its premise, the story and all, scream standard and cliched war-heroism rc-isms! And if done well, i might like it a lot too! biggrin
