    Back into my old workplace for the next 2 afternoons to help them sort out an assay I used to do that they can't get to work properly.

    An assay is an experimental test and in this case it's a routine test that they are finding problems with. Made some good progress. It was a nice change to have a more practical problem to sort out rather than just writing.

    Well, this is a pretty big hint:

    An interesting twist to the video-link system for trials: instead of the defendant being at the other end of the video link, here it would be the lawyer who would need to be at that end!

    Arifinto, an Indonesian MP who was instrumental in passing tough anti-pr0nography laws (and goes by a single name), is resigning after being caught watching adult videos during a parliamentary session.     Funny indeed. Not very surprising though. The loudest crusaders against.... well anything sex-related, also tend to be the worst indulgers of the activity they're railing against. It reminds me of how the most conservative and religious states in the US are also the biggest consumers of porn, the mormon state of Utah being the clear winner.

  28. One time I was at the beach, sitting in my car watching the ocean. This black guy and his son, probably nine or ten, are walking buy. The kid is eating out of a small bag that appears to be candy.
    The father is speaking like the dad from "The Bernie Mac Show":

    Dad: "You ate all the Skittles?" head kind of cocked, like in the show.
    The kid shakes his head, "Ah huh."
    Dad: "All of them???"
    And the kid doesn't even reply, eating out of the back, which appears to either be Skittles or Peanut Butter M&M's.



    Today I went to Wal-Mart, and there's Halloween decorations on top of shelves. One had a rwo of cobwebs and three tombstones. There were dead skeletons in front of each, except one, where the stuffed doll of Woody from "Toy Story" was. biggrin
