  3. When I saw the first in the theater I was: MEH!! slant

Upon second viewing I was: HUH!! lick

Now watching it in full Dolby Digital 5.1 I'm like: JEEZ!! dizzy punk

Knowing Bay it'll be Tranformers to the 20th degree...

  4. The movie is a lot of fun. The cast seems to enjoy their time, the effects are mindblowing, the action is superb, what else do you expect from a totally brainfree, but still very entertaining summer movie?

Oh, yes, a great score, I know. Well, some people think it got that, too. I´m one of them.

So, do I want more of the same, just louder, funnier, with more explosions, even better effects, and a score that rules my world the same way the last one did?

    You bet I do.

Not sure if it's real or not but it looks good:

Also I was searching for the new Prince of Persia film to see how things are going and all when I stumbled upon this thread on imdb:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0473075/boa … /114590552

So that directed me to this silly website about shirtless actors and stuff and there I saw some pics from Shia LaBeouf on the set of Transformers 2 who had all these scars and burnt skin and stuff. Looks like this one is down the darkness path as well now. hehe

  5. knowing Bay this movie will be more overblown than the first one, I just hope his humour stays in the boundaries of the first, and not in the crude humour of Bad Boys II (no matter how fun it was), it was just too much in that

  6. Well, whatever the result of the finished film, making it seems like loads of fun and 'bayhem'.

  8. I actually loved Transformers too. And I'm somewhat a Bay hater, because I think he can't tell a story and work with actors to save his ass. But that's just me.

  9. But boy can he make fast moving flicks! There's just no time to think about this or that, especially in his latest. It helps that the spectacle is non-stop.

Actually The Rock and Pearl Harbor (yes really) are two of my Bay-vorites.

  10. Oh, the movie is BIG fun. If you like Bay, why don´t you wanna watch it?
  11. Yeah that's like saying I like Spielberg, but I don't intend on seeing E.T. or Raiders of the Lost Ark. tongue

Yeah, we thought so as well. Never saw a transformers cartoon, never read a comic, never bought an action figure. And my wife, who is not a bit interested in cars, robots and mechanics was like, 'Yeah, robots changing into cars, I really want to see that... rolleyes ", but we did anyway, because usually we laugh our asses off with bay movies and totally enjoy them for the braindead fun they are, and while I thought Transformers was great fun, probably the best Bay ever did, you should have seen my wife. She was laughing, and jumping, and "holy shit"ting the whole time. After that, first thing she did was ordering the DVD...

Really, it´s great fun. Ignore the story; the action alone will blow your head off, and you´ll enjoy it.

Michael Bay is the best action director working today. He is unique crafting audio-visual spectacles.

Yes, I agree, and almost 100% of the action in Transformers happens with daylight, so even more difficult to planify and execute.

  13. Although I thought the effects in Compass were great, and I´m happy they won the Oscar, it should have gone to Transformers .

Oh totally, the end battle in Los Angeles is awesome. Just that sequence was an Oscar itself.
If Transformers 2 is more and more, I´m so looking forward to it.
