Now Schwarzenegger's pronunciation is flavoured with a strong Austrian accent, that bleeds through even in his English.
Really? I've never noticed.
It's funny how a someone who is familiar with a particular accent (i.e., their native language) can detect that accent still when someone else whose native language is the same uses a different language.
For example, even though Sean Connery is Spanish* in Highlander*, I can still detect a hint of a Scottish accent.

I'm from Essex, so I can't relate. I'm only really useful when Danny Dyer is on screen. -

A HINT?
I remember seeing the film for the first time and rolling over laughing when the character said he was Spanish (just failing to add "Och aye the noo").

Some of you may have noticed Blue Bell ice cream had recalled ice cream products and that it has not been available for two weeks now, because of reports of contamination and people getting sick (at least five cases). I heard today they are recalling all their products now.
If you have any purchased in the last three weeks, chuck it. Any store that is still carrying it, is ignoring the total recall.
I finally went onlien to try and find out when it was coming back, since the shelf is still bare anywhere that carried the product. According to a USA Today news article from last month:
"The extensive and detailed process of updating, cleaning and sanitizing our four production facilities, as well as training employees and implementing new programs and procedures, will take longer than we initially anticipated," the company said in a release.
And that we should not expect to see Blue Bell back on the shelves for several months, at a minimum.
Perhaps even more disturbing, aside from the fact I won't be able to purchase the best chocolate chip cookie dough and mint ice cream available in a bid for some joy, is that apparently (again according to the article) Blue Bell sweapt the contamination under the carpet back in 2013. Then a Freedom of Information Act request ended up uncovering it and leading to an investigation. Multiple plants are shut and not making the ice cream.
At this point I'd almost chance some listeria.
I've had food poisoning before. I just want some Blue Bell chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Remember that catchy and fun theme song for "Inspector Gadget"? And how that even though it was a cheesy cartoon and the animation wasn't spectacular, it was still totally a fun theme?
Okay, here's the new theme for the 2015 CGI series:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lL9guIMtbo
THIS SUCKS BALLS. It was dated ten seconds after it was recorded -- and that's being generous.
And WTF is up with those comptuer graphics? It looks like some video game from the 2000's. Odd movements, lifeless eyes, over all cheapness. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Well, we are not the target audience anymore, Justin. The GADGET we grew up with is great for our nostalgia and everything, but it would feel very dated for contemporary youngsters. I think this update looks quite decent, actually.
By the way, it just occured to me that the GADGET theme is modelled on Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" -- geez, why didn't I notice this before?I am extremely serious. -

Because the new theme actually quotes (or even samples) the Grieg piece verbatim!http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

I found out today there's a new documentary about Chris Farley, titled "I Am Chris Farley". I did a quick search to find out who the composer was (I was just curious) and then found this in a review of the documentary at Hollywood.com:
Tech-wise, the doc only really stumbles with a score so distractingly generic that the credits don't even list its composer.

Did you know today was "Back to the Future" day? Today was the date Marty and Doc went to the future in the second film. Funny -- I can't find any hoverboards.
Also, "Mythbusters" has been cancelled. I didn't read it, but it'll either have one more episode or one last season, either way a send off will come. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -
