And Young´s new themes for the third too. But more films? rolleyes After the awful third part, they´d better work hard on the script *cough The Dark Knight cough cough*

Why wouldn't they do more crappy films? Nothing will stop the hordes of teenagers dumping their money on those so why not release more money-earning junk? wink

Well of course they´ll keep making sequels as long as they make millions and millions. It was more a desire than a fact.

The first score is excellent and the sequel is wonderful. However, I didn't like the mesh of Elfman/Young styles in the third score.

    This series is dead!

Doubt it. Pardon me but when was the last time we had a great film that was shot back to back with its sequel? The phrase back-to-back alone means disaster.

LOTR? That was shot all in one? no?
for me, it matters they keep the same witt as from all the movies, but with a nice doses of action and build up like in the second movie

Correct. I forgot about LotR... But then LotR was like a singular story that couldn't possibly be summarized into one film. I don't think Spidey would fall into this category, no matter how many adventures and villains this character ever had in comic books.

Are you counting the Elfman tracks tracked into S-M3 in addition to the recomposed cues by Lurie and Debney, or just Young's original score? I really enjoyed Young's score and a nice departure from Elfman's style (yes, I loved the first two scores)... I would definitely like to see Young expand that sound and keep Elfman's theme for two more Spidey flicks.

Granted, Young's score wasn't perfect but it worked fine in the film.

Lurie's contributions for III were pathetic, imo. I too liked the YOUNG material however.

Read about the reboot thing a while back. slant

I would only be interested in the score to be honest, but seeing the themes licensing shit is apparently stopping soundtrack releases for the Spidey series, I don't really care now.

Though I'm not really interested in a high-school only Spidey tale, I'm very interested in what Marc Webb might be able to bring to the table.
