After almost two weeks of dry sunny weather, the Gods have sent the most thunderous fucking... well, thunder. The most spectacular lightning I've seen since I was last in the tropics.

    WOW.

EDIT: And I beat the news to it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44269304

a sunny day outside for the Indy 500. I can hear the cars a few miles away from my front porch!
Bach's music is heartless and robotic.

Oslo expected to be Europe's hottest place today, with almost 10 C more than, say, Athens!

AAAARGH! Norway is NOT exempt to the European heat wave/drought at the moment.

36 C expected today, and I have planned a night out. A night in the shadows, no doubt.

There's supposed to be long-awaited rain tomorrow, but I wouldn't be surprised if got "cancelled" in the last minute.
    I am extremely serious.
  3. So, that blizzard I was experiencing during our Zoom meeting blew through an hour later, then turned to rain and wind, but I woke up to see some light fresh snow on the mountain. https://www.instagram.com/p/CHk78g1LImw … _copy_link

I cried a little after seeing this picture.

I love the city life and where I live, but damn, that's spectacular.

  7. Awwww, well I promise you that the gratitude and appreciation of the view is not lost on me! It's a truly great gift and blessing that I don't deserve, but I praise God for. And it makes for easy art inspiration as well!

How are people coping in the heat?

Scorching here in Northern Denmark, like many other places in Europe at the moment. Temps hovering around 30C. Can't really be outside much, very little refuge inside -- although I have all doors and windows open. And insanely difficult to get constructive work done.

I mean, I love a good summer like everyone else, but 25 C is maximum for comfort (for me) and a little wind wouldn't hurt either. Hopefully, things will normalize a bit next week.

  8. It's too warm when it gets to 30 degrees. And it makes for uncomfortable sleeping too.

It's October 1st and I still wear shorts whenever I can. The day I shelf them is a sad day indeed. But we're close; autumn is here.

  9. Our central heating is now on. So, it's officially autumn in our house!

  10. Thor, am I correct that Howard over at FSM had to evacuate because of hurricane Ian? If that's the case have you seen any word from him the last couple of days? (Electricity supply may be an issue so maybe not.)

Freezing in Oslo at the moment (gusts from Siberia?). -15C, almost. My radiator can't keep up, so I have to add expensive electric heating.
