- Comment I was listening to Fantastic Mr Fox on the way to work today, thinking what a light, fluffy score it is, but it made me smile and that's always a good thing. I'm surprised to see it nominated though. From this list, I'm rooting for Giacchino, but more for a body of work than for UP itself.

- Comment NP: CRANFORD - Carl Davis I wanted something sweet and light, and the first and last parts of the CD qualify, but the middle sort of dragged a bit.

- Comment Just finished Puccini by Marco Frisina Sort of an eclectic mix of tracks, but I liked it. Some very lyrical and lush, others more peppy and fun and a few more quiet and introspective. It ends with some of Puccini's own arias and compositions. Now listening to Casino Royale by Burt Bacharach. ...

- Comment
Christodoulides wrote And why are they giving them away then?
Because my house is overflowing with stuff and I really needed to clean up some of my clutter. I've kept the ones I play the most or really treasure, but I just couldn't keep everything. I didn't want to try to ...

- Comment 1. He is really a "she" :) 2. I'm not selling any of the cd's, I was offering them for free (but the recipiet has to be in the United States because I'm using USPS boxes with fixed price postage and that's only valid within the US) 3. I don't recall the titles because I finally got ...

- Comment You're probably right, but unfortunately the boxes are sealed and I'm not sure what is in which box. I also packaged up two boxes of non-soundtrack CDs for http://www.discsfordogs.org/, so I was sort of on CD overload by the time I finished. It's a pretty varied mix of cd's, ...

- Comment I was cleaning up this weekend and came up with two groups of soundtrack cd's that I'm happy to share . I didn't type up the names, so I can't give any assurances regarding what cd's are included or what shape they're in (I bought some used), but they're free - so the price is right. Two ...

- Comment Sunshine - Maurice Jarre: Short but very good. Based on the title and the cover, I was expecting something different - a more romantic, lyrical score and I was surprised by the more martial themes. Reading the movie plot, I can see how the score fits, but it was just different from what I ...

- Comment Murder on the Orient Express by Ennio Morricone: I loved the opening theme, but the rest of the tracks didn't hold up as well (to me) until the opening theme reappears on later tracks. Astronomers: JAC Redford - too many "a-ha! Something important is about to happen here" moments ...

- Comment
HeeroJF wrote NP: All the Rivers Run, [red]Bruce Rowland[/red] Defines the very notion of an "accessible" score! Every melody in here is unsubtle clear as day!
That's probably why I like it so much :)
