- discussion topic If You Could Turn A Book Into A Film...............
- Comment Stephen King once said that books and their film adaptations are like apples and oranges. Both are delicious, but they don't taste the same. It would be interesting to see The Catcher in the Rye be made into a film, now that Salinger (who was vehemently against the idea) has passed away. I ...

- Comment War of the Worlds - John Williams I bought this score today, as it was the only Williams score from 2005 that I did not own. First impression is that the order of the tracks is different from the film. Nevertheless, I'm very excited about it.

- Comment Thanks again for that Timmer. Endings always get me into trouble since i'm musically illiterate. I don't know what half the musical tools are for in this program I use and god knows i've been trying to utilize them somehow :). I'll save up money some day to take a crash course in music.

- Comment The one I bought was the 30th anniversary ultimate edition. It contained 3 different cuts of the film. The original version, the special edition, and the director's cut. I saw the special edition. I honestly don't know why I think it's strange. Maybe like you said the main character had something ...

- Comment I got Close Encounters of the Third Kind on DVD last week. It was a strange film, well shot though. I can't really describe how I feel about it. I'm gonna have to watch again soon. The 5 note tune stuck in my head afterwards :) . I also bought V for Vendetta on Blueray. My cousin ...

- Comment It's winter here in the UAE and the weather is sublime. It reaches the mid 20s celsius during the day and goes down to around 18 at night. This time of the year is perfect for playing outdoors sports especially football. I'm enjoying every minute of it. :)

- Comment Hi all This is a short piece (1.30 minutes) I wrote using Finale 2009. Now i'm not claiming that it is good or well structured music. It is just a form of expression. No more no less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zHTRcR1q28 Let me know what you think.

- Comment How many Homages did you guys notice in LOTR? There is a very obvious one in The Towers extended score: Track number 6 on the 3rd CD, "The breech of the deeping wall". Half way through the track there is an homage to Holst (mars). I think there is another on the same CD but I'm not ...

- Comment I was first introduced to Hisaishi's music almost 4 years ago now. My friend recommended that I listen to Kikujiro and that's how it all started. - discussion topic CLINT EASTWOOD
- Comment I think Clint is the best film maker around. I like that his films are essentially about human nature and he gets the best performance out of his actors. Besides, he doesn't like rehearsing for a scene because if an actor gets it right in rehearsal he/she can spend the entire day trying to get it ...

- Comment I agree that Window to the Past is the most fitting theme written for harry's memories of his family. To be honest, the down part about the scores that came after Azkaban was that this theme was never used again. We saw the main theme used. Snippets of the flying theme. In the latest score ...
